Leftover azalea food

I have plenty of azalea food/fertilizer leftover and wanted to know if I can use it for my flowering bushes. Like viburnums and coco plums.

Azalea food is strictly for acid loving plants. I would not recommend using it for fear it may burn your other plants.

I use Azelea/Rhodie food on any Hydrangea that I want to change the color to a darker shade of Blue and I have for years. Cheaper than buying the stuff the stuff at the Garden stores sold for that same purpose. Don’t go overboard with the amount, use the package directions & go on the lighter side of recommended amount. I do it every year on the same plants. Acid for darker blue, Alkaline for Pink.

  • Stored in a dry place the fertilizer will be good for a long time. I would store in sealable container.

It will burn other plants. Just save it for it does not go bad and u will have it for next season.
