Can't get over how expensive rugs can be? I sure am! So I decided to make a high end look with a low end budget I painted an $18 rug to punch up my space. Read the whole tutorial on the blog!
Learn how to paint a rug!
Take this under $20 rug from ho hum to gorgeous with some paint and tape!
First, take a paint sprayer to get to a base of white.
Start by taping out your pattern. Mine needed stripes first.
Then another set of stripes.
Then I cut out a pattern.
I used my pizza roller to smooth down the paint.
Another coat of white sealed the tape on the rug.
Then three coats of pink paint!
I used this clear gloss protective spray.
The final result!
I'm in love with this look!

Love the idea. I try to pressure wash my indoor area rugs every summer. Never thought of painting them. It’s an awesome idea
