Updating Cabinets for Thanksgiving

There are places in our homes that we wish we could decorate, but, we just aren't sure what to do! Come take a look at how I gave my kitchen cabinets an updated look for Thanksgiving!
Now that my kitchen cabinets are painted I feel like now I can spruce them up a bit. The old orangey oak cabinets are now a color that I can dress up or down depending on the season and occasion.
I headed to the Dollar Tree for a little inspiration. I found this burlap chevron ribbon and a spool of fall colored leaves. For less than $3 I dressed up my upper kitchen cabinets. With kids and dogs I felt like the bottom were safer with nothing on them!
Now to hold the ribbon in place I used a tack on the top and bottom on the inside of the kitchen cabinet. I've had the one cabinet we use the most fall out twice, but, again, I have kiddos! It was a quick fix.

Now once I begin to change out my decorations from Fall to Christmas I will use the same chevron burlap ribbon and add cranberries or maybe even a Christmas Ornament....we will just have to see what I come up with!
Suggested materials:
  • Burlap ribbon   (fall leaves)
  • Tacks
