Repurposing Vintage Hand Tools

Homeroad
by Homeroad
I've been collecting these rakes for years because I think they are great. I love the patina and the way each one is unique. Today I created a pallet using old fence pieces. I stained the wood then attached the rakes using screws and bolts. The result is a great rack of hooks, perfect to hang up jackets, leashes, or scarves in the mudroom.
My collection of hand rakes.
After staining the board the rakes are attached with screws and nuts.
Some of the rakes are slightly bent to make a better hook.

I think I have some of these stuck away in my potting shed...I am going to dig them out!

@Homeroad what a tribute to the history of gardening. Love it. I too have an appreciation of old/historical items. Your stained wood back drop adds class to the way they are displayed. Thanks for sharing!
