Back Porch Season Finale: Ceiling and Floor Wrap-Up
If you follow along you know we've been working on our back porch FOREVER. Well Mother Nature has forced us to take a welcome break so here's what I call the "Back Porch Season Finale". It includes some finishing ceiling details and floor painting.

Knew I would get snow blowing in on mine, too - lots. To protect the plywood, I melted down citronella candles in a tin container on the BBQ and brushed the liquid onto the plywood. It has a low combustion point and is a wax protection when it hardens. Then I put down tar paper, poly, and outdoor carpet. That was over 15 years ago. Have replaced the carpet a couple of times, but still no problem with the plywood base.
