Consumer reports is a good source of information. But, first you must consider what you want from a dishwasher. Quiet is good, do you need and adjustable top rack that moves up and down for larger dish loads? Do you prefer silverware racks on the outside of the dish rack or the kind that fits inside the dish rack or the one in the door. How many setting do you think you would like and really use? Do you need steam, pre-soak, auto start timer, china or pot and pan settings? It sounds daunting, but if you sit down and really think about how you would use a dishwasher, before you shop of it, the search may be a little easier. Good luck.
