What a great way to make your furniture pieces unique.
The first step I did was paint my cabinet with two coats of Vanilla Frosting.
Once the paint dried, I mixed the Texture Powder with Chocolate Tart paint. I started mixing up the two with a 50:50 ratio, but added a little bit more of the Texture Powder to get the right consistency.
I stirred until I had a smooth paste.
With my stencil firmly in place, I then applied the brown paste with a scraper over the stencil. It is best if you can lie your piece down.
After you apply the paste, remove and clean your stencil right way. You may have to work in sections, depending on how big your piece is.
After the last coat of painted dried, I then distressed over the raised detail to bring out the pattern.
Oh, and while I was at it, I mixed up a small batch with just water and patched up some holes in my walls.

Could you have used joint compound instead of the textured powder?
Love this!!! Looks amazing!!! Can you tell me/us what the difference is be texture powder and like baby powder or baking soda.... essentialally it just thickens the paint to make stencil raised right? I did find the powder on Amazon! Just curious tks
