Our dogs love running water, but fall in the koi pond.

Looking for a way to make a small watering station for our three Shelties. They love running water, and I want to make a small pond...size of a tire? at ground level. They attempt to drink from our koi pond, and fall in and can't get out. Need a safer solution!
