Update on Homemade Laundry Soap and "Dryer Sheets"

So, we used them awhile and then decided we'd do an update! There were some allergic reactions to the Fels Naptha we were using and the castile soaps turned out to be too soft so now we make the bar soap but everything else we buy and throw together. We love to add essential oils to the "dryer sheets" for a nice fragrance.

I love my powder recipe and once mixed makes enough to last for about 7 months with my family of four including a semi invalid. One 4 # box of borax, washing soda, (this last time I added 4# box of baking soda also) and one large container of whitening (any kind such as oxyclean) Then I shredded about 4 smaller bath size bars of our favorite bath soap. This time I used homemade soap that we made at a class. I still have about 20 bars of it left. I use one or two coffee scoops per load and it really works.
