Squeaky carpeted stairs

Please someone tell me if there is anyway to stop carpeted stairs from squeaking??!!

Loose nails cause the squeak. You would have to take up the carpet and screw the stairs down.

Screwing down the steps is the only way to permanently fix this. However, you might want to get some finishing nails and sink then in below the nap of the carpet along the edges. then when you replace the carpet, be sure and have the stairs screwed down.
