Moody and Dark

White is probably one of the most effective colors in the palette of colors. Can you imagine having to decorate a space without using white, even in the smallest way? With that said, I must admit that it's my least favorite color for furniture. I would rather go for the dark or bright choices. This latest piece is a mid-toned gray but up against our new black dining room walls, it begins to tell a complex story of color.
For the gray, I used Benjamin Moore Advance in satin. I usually use this paint for the mid century pieces I do because it self-levels and produces a super strong finish that doesn't need sealing.
The insets were painted brown and sanded a bit.
