  • You need to call the contractor back immediately. Repairing it is sanding the floor~ sounds like they did not sand/and or make sure no fans or dust was blowing around in the room between coats to ensure that no dust or dirt particles got trapped in the finish. Good luck

Is he DONE? You said sealing, perhaps it's not been screened and last coated yet? Gloss is HARDER than satin and used in the early build coat (s) then satin top can be used as final finish.

@Spheramid Enterprises thanks, today he offered to hand sand the bubbles in the floor which by the way are everywhere, I am at my wits end how to save the floor, should I have him hand sand the entire floor and gloss seal it , he does not wNt to completely redo the floor , wil. The bubbles or bumps all fade awY , I have no clue-----

What does the contract specify? Is it supposed to be gloss? Obviously we ( I ) can't tell from here the level of finish, but a good flooring contractor should aim to please you, within reason. Hold final payment until it is resolved and you are happy or shown a reason contractually that you got what you paid for.

Good, I'd not expect a re-do, it doesn't need that. It needs to be the sheen you agreed upon and the professional level of smooth , without debris in the surface. If you are comparing to a factory finish pre-applied and his work is in a refinish in an existing structure, very, very few can get even close to that.

He is going to redo the floor but this time I am thinking of not using high gloss as it shows any imperfection but as suggested just a sheen hope it works out
