Repurposed Wooden Jenga Christmas Ornaments

Homeroad
by Homeroad
What started out as game pieces quickly became ornaments for the Christmas tree. I began by painting the blocks white, added a vinyl stencil, then painted red over the top. when the paint was dry the stencil was removed and the blocks were ready to hang on the tree. You can see the whole detailed tutorial here....

What kind (and color) wax do you use?

@Diane Lewis Clear Annie Sloan wax but you could use any kind of furniture wax. The paint I used was chalk paint so it needs protection. If you use regular paint you won't need any top coat.
