How can I make a mistletoe kissing ball?

When I was a little girl, my Mother made a kissing or mistletoe ball. All I remember is she used white yard, thin wire. She made two hoops from the wire and after she cut the yarn she somehow threaded it on the wire. Hung mistletoe in the middle and attached a red ribbon to hang it in the doorway. I have tried to find how to make this, but to no success. Can anyone help? Thank you

You can try using a styrofoam ball the base for your project.

  Pinterest actually shows making a snowman that way. I would look up using white yarn to create a missiletoe it should be pretty much at the first couple of ideas.
