Is the burnt on residue?
I have Circulon and try baking soda first. If I have a persistent stain, Barkeepers Friend is my next choice.

Go buy Dutch Glow Cleaning Tonic. You can get at WalMart. You spray it on, let sit for 5 - 10 mins and everything will wipe off. This is earth friendly and non toxic. Cleaning the oven is a breeze with this also! Happy cleaning with this. I have brought back pans that looked like they needed the trash heap!!
You can also soak it in cream of tarter overnight and then use a scrubbie pad to clean.
