How will I know if my roofer does a good job replacing the roof?

After the contractor replaces the roofing, what should I look for to see if the contractor did it properly or correctly as a consumer?

Hi Amy, After I had my roof replaced last year, I had an inspector come to check it. I told the roofers they would get final payment after a clean inspection. If they are reputable, they will agree to those terms. Hope this helps!!
our roofers used Corning materials; and a Corning inspector came and did ours, and then the warranty was in effect
