What to do with little to no money to reno? how do I do it on a dime?
bending down is hard, so I need accessible storage, but we are on a strict budget. Neither bathroom can even accommodate an over-john. What can I do?

Connie Lorraine on Nov 18, 2013teab, is there any way that you could post a couple of photos of of your bathrooms so that we can get a visual of what we can work with? I have a few ideas, but want to be sure it would work in your space. I am enclosing a poorly shot image of one possible storage option for you. I just used an wine holder, and a 3 tier cheap basket hanging from shower rod. However, you could easily add this basket concept to a ceiling hook; either tucked behind shower curtain or in a non-intrusive corner by your sink. Is storage your main concern or are you wanting to get some ideas on how to inexpensively update your bathroom?Helpful Reply

The Garden Frog with C Renee on Nov 20, 2013You can still install a medicine cabinet somewhere else and even on top of the drywall if you find a decorative one. Are you or someone you know handy? then cutting out a section and putting in a medicine cabinet could be an option. How about the linen closet? is it next to the bathrooms? I installed a cabinet that recesses into my linen closet from the full bath for storage. If you are interested I can take pics.Helpful Reply

Jill on Nov 21, 2013There are many things you can do. You can purchase a shower curtain that has pockets in it and use that to stuff some bath products in. You can check out the Restores at Habitat for Humanity and see if they have some medicine cabinets you can use for cheap. Shelving is also another good idea, and you can find baskets to put on them and store stuff in.Helpful Reply

Dawn Fuller on Sep 16, 2015You might try one of the shoe holders it can be hung on the door you could even put one on each side of door. You could hang or sew it on on the shower curtain for lighter items. The pocket are quite large on some towels and hand towels meds creams lotions you could just about store anything in it. I have 2 I use 1 has personable items I need for my dsy to day i have problems bending also. These can be bought at dollor store or if you sew you can make one out of slmost anything sheets towels even heavy curtainsHelpful Reply
