Storing flip flops

I have many pair of the cheap flip flops that I need to do something with. I do not have any extra hanging space in any of the closets and just don't know what to do with them.

Can you spare a little space down close to the floor underneath your hanging clothes? By hanging a tension rod close to the floor, perhaps you could try the idea in the link below. I think this girl was brilliant to come up with this and one of these days I'm going to take the out-of-control mound of flip flops on the floor of my closet and hang them like this. I put mine in a Bankers box and store them in the garage.
