Milk Paint Foyer Table

Until recently, our foyer was simple a large open space that pretty much collected bags and shoes and junk. It needed a piece of furniture to help with storage... I saw a few of these old sideboards on other blogs and fell in love with them and their potential.
Milkpaint foyer table AFTER.
Before. Aint' she a beauty? She was in great shape... no warping, no chipping, no peeling. Just old.
I removed the doors, sanded and gave her a coat of primer.
After the primer, I used two coats of milkpaint. I had never used milk paint, but liked working with it. Finding the right consistency was tricky but I loved how well I could 'age' this piece.
After painting, I distressed it all over to reveal the underlying layer of both primer and exposed wood.
Finished!
