Please don't do this to a live, growing plant..cuttings are fine but that's it....

I grow poinsettia and sprinkle regular glitter on the leaves. Does not hurt the plant. But as with anything moderation is the key.

Does anyone know how to take glitter OFF plants? I bought I Norfolk Island pine with glitter, thinking it would just shake out. When it didn't, I tried spraying it with the hose in the kitchen sink. That didn't work either. Any suggestions?
