Underberg Open Gardens -part2

Small village gardens
Every second year in spring (around October) Underberg hosts the Open Gardens festival. I had the privilege of being in the area over this time to view these most magnificent gardens.
Underberg is little village located at the base of the Southern Drakensberg mountains in South Africa. It gets cold in winter with heavy frosts and very often snow. The summers are gorgeous and hot with regular afternoon thunder showers.
Part 1 of this series focuses on Large Farm gardens. Click HERE if you missed that dose of inspiration.
This Part 2 focuses on the small village gardens and is a real inspiration for those with smaller gardens. Enjoy!
Parts of the small and large gardens can be incorporated into almost any garden.
Today's gardening quote:
"A garden is always a series of losses set against a few triumphs, like life itself"
Stunning garden with views up the valley towards the Drakensberg Mountains
Fabulous Farm Living
