Fun project for the kids..
Materials I used...Old cards from Christmas' past. Ribbon, Embellishments, Silver & Gold cording, Scissors, Household glue that dries clear. Sheet of Christmasy craft paper. Misc. sizes of envelopes.
Separated, and cut my cards smaller to work on. Save your message area. These I made so they can be hung by the tree if they like.
On the reverse side of craft paper, I traced the front of the card, and cut along the edges. Also cut out your verse.
I like to use a verse that coincides with the front picture. Use the glue sparingly. If you use too much, it clumps and wrinkles.
Added the cord in between the two sheets. I put a little extra glue in that area. Some of them get lace or ribbon added between the sheets at this time.
When I'm sure I have things where I want them, I carefully place them between heavy books, to dry overnight.
The next day they should be flat and dry. That's when to get artsy. Stickers, Gems, Yarn, ribbon, pom poms...I use glue that dries clear.
Each one is a little work of art.
The flip side sends the good tidings of comfort and joy.

I like it because it's a simple, easy craft that doesn't take much. Just things you have on hand. It's real fun to send back a card to someone after you remake it, & see if they recognize it. Thank you for commenting. Post if you love your creations, please.
