What is a good self leveling sealant

What can be used as a self leveling sealant on an uneven tabletop? I glued wood rulers onto the table top and framed the top with wood strips, but the rulers are not laying as flat or as even as I envisioned, so I need a clear drying self leveling sealant to even out the surface. Any ideas?

Any of your "bar" (like drinking bar) pour on products would work. On old antique thresholds, and window sills eaten by sun/condensation I have used Spar/Marine varnish, great smooth finish
