Do you just not use them because you think they look cheap? You could use a wire brush or scouring pad to rough them up just a little on the back, and then rub them w/ paint, dye or ink to age them and see if you like the look...We did that w/ some silver ones and they look like pewter now. We use them with clear plastic plates on the head tableat wedding receptions and they are so pretty...Lots of Luck!!!...

Maybe spray paint them in a color that coordinates with your decor and hang them on the wall. They're lightweight and perfect for hanging.

Thank you @Michelle !, that's a great idea! Or I was thinking of spraying them white and decoupaging a chandelier pic or French graphic on them. What do you think?

You can spray them with chalkboard spray paint and still use them as chargers?! Super cute and can personalize guests name on them!

If I remember, they are very sturdy plastic. I bought some left over plates in different sizes, shapes (round and square) and colors for almost nothing at the end of the season at Kohls. I got so tired of having those clay saucers break (and the can be expensive) so I started using these as saucers under my outdoor colorful pots! They keep the pots from staining the steps or porch, but the do not hold a lot of water for mosquitoes! If the colors are acceptable, use them to set things on on the counters...it sort of sets things apart.

  • Yikes....don't throw them. You can do some amazing things with them, visit my blog http://mrsblackstone.blogspot.com for an example. You can make some very nice Christmas gifts with them.

Spray paint them metallic colors & use the for holiday center piece with candles, beads, greens, ribbons, etc. Or paint them other colors & use them when serving hors d'oeuvres or desserts at a party.
