Need Help Picking a Paint Color

by Kathy Jones
I have just about driven myself crazy trying to pick a color to paint my guest bedroom and my master bed and bath. I would love a silvery, light gray for the guest bedroom and something neutral for the master but just can't seem to decide. Any ideas? The master would need a slightly darker color for the tray ceiling and below the chair rail. I just want something relaxing that I can use as a neutral pallet for colorful bedding. Thanks for any ideas! (PS: my master furniture is cherry and my guest furniture is shabby chic.)

Love the idea of light gray for shabby chic guest room. What feeling do you want to get when you walk into your master bed and bath? What are the colors of the bedding, flooring etc. ??

Thanks, Lyndsie! I looked up the toffee crunch and it's really pretty. I'm going to get a sample this weekend and try it out!

Debbie, my furniture is cherry and rather large. I have a chair rail and tray ceiling in the bed and bath so I'll need to colors, one slightly darker that the other. I want a color that I don't have to worry about painting when I get tired of it. I would rather paint a neutral color and bring the color in with the bedding and accessories. I really haven't thought of an accessory color yet. I really like deep purple, red, dark oranges, etc. I want the room to feel warm and cozy but also light and fresh. I'm just not a good paint picker and I have a painter coming out Monday to give me the estimate for the job. I'm actually painting 8 rooms and the guest room and master bed and bath are the only rooms I don't have colors picked for. I did find another silvery gray that I am going to get a sample of this weekend and see how it goes.

Valspar's "Homestead Resort Pumpkin" and "Cincinnatian Hotel Dominica" AND "Kidskin Buff". My home is designed and decorated to look like an Italian villa. My colors are fall colors and love the warm cozy feel. These colors are the lightest colors in my pallet and are very light and fresh. My kitchen is "Papricka" and bath is "Burnished Copper". Check them out!
