That's a great idea. I wonder, can it be wiped down easily like tile?

I wallpapered the backspash right over formica (tangerine-70's era) ,,,,, I didn't sand or rough it up,,it was fine. Washed it lots,,finally just took it down after 17 years..It peeled right off with hot water and a plastic scrapper....Now trying to figure out what to cover it with next..
