Lace Dresser

Recaptured Charm
by Recaptured Charm
Medium
This dresser was stenciled from real lace. A piece of lace placed on the drawers and sprayed with paint makes such a pretty pattern. Find out how at Recaptured charm.
Entire piece painted in an Almond color
Lace was laid across the drawers and lightly sprayed with white.
Very light distressing. Original pulls were painted, but I used the hardware on the top drawer from another project.
Before
Lace before spraying with white paint.

Do you wait until the paint entirely dries before removing the lace? I have seen lace sprayed with dark colors, too, to bring out the pattern more. Great job! (I'm inspired for my Victorian bedroom!)
