Xmas Crafts From Old Out Door Cushions.

I collected these old lawn furniture cushions & stripped the material off, the fiber fill padding was still in great shape. Here are some xmas decorations I created from those cushions.
I cut a donut shape from the fiber fill & rounded off the edges with scissors. I was given a role of the red & silver mesh material, which was stiff and tricky to work with.

I measured the outer edge of the wreath, loosely rolled up the material and placed in the middle of the wreath. I then spread & folded it around the wreath. The only way I could fasten the edges together was with regular staple, hot glue melted it. I used left over pipe cleaners to make the decorations on the wreath and the fancy ribbon was purchased last year in sale.
This idea came to me because I remembered making free standing paper xmas trees in grammar school.

The cushions were rectangular, so it was easy to cut the main body & the wedges that remained for the sides. I then wrapped & stapIed the material to each section. I was able to use hot glue here to hold the fiber fill sections together. I need a base for stability, so i used an old green plastic dish and hot glued it to the tree edges. The decoration where odds , craft items.
