Make a Lamp From an Antique Copper Heater

I spied an antique copper desk heater made into a lamp for $290 on Houzz.com and fell in love with its rustic charm and knew I could make a lamp very similar to it myself for a lot less.
Before. I'm not exactly sure how old this lamp is, but I'm guessing it's at least 80+ years old. The socket and wiring were easy to remove.
Supplies needed to make the lamp are: An antique copper desk lamp from eBay or Etsy. (I found better deals on Ebay), Porcelain lamp holder, Rocker switch, ST58 Edison bulb. (These are the shorter ones.), Vintage style twisted cloth wire, and a Polarized Plug . Links are on the blog if you can't find the parts in the hardware store.
Be sure to use a polarized plug if using an inline rocker switch
I adore industrial lighting and this one makes such a unique conversation piece.

What size light blub did you use? Now when I see these at good wheel I'll grab one. I never thought of making one into a lamp. Good idea.

Would there be any way to utilize the fan blades ? I love the fan, but the blades are the fan.
