I've never heard of Konmari before so I googled it. It seems so cool!
I have done it, you have to keep it up though. I don't know about other people but we just attract things in our lives, especially my kids. I think all kids are born to be hoarders.
I do it, but it is a 'process' , I have to watch myself all the time or I will get back to a lot of 'stuff' that's unnecessary. Maybe Konmari will write a book on maintenance and how to avoid temptation! Anyway, I really like doing it.
i do not follow her, but we do follow the concept of removing an item when you get a new one. So, when I buy a pair of shoes, I have to get rid of an existing pair. The decision on what to eliminate has to be made at the time of purchase. This practice tends to reduce the number of impulse purchases. I also have my kids go thru their toys and games at least once a year generally in the fall. I also try to live with "if I have not used or worn something in a year,it goes in the donation bag"
