Hot Cocoa Station

Here is our hot cocoa station all set up for yummy drinking and cozy fireplace cuddling.
We’re getting some of the Christmas décor up and we did a little Hot Cocoa Station in the Kitchen Nook for my daughter and her friends. Ok, maybe for me too. What is it about this chilly weather that you just want to snuggle and drink hot cocoa with whip cream?
It’s nice during the winter and holiday season to have an area that’s already set for hot cocoa with all the toppers too. Especially if you have kids at home or visiting they will LOVE it and it makes it easy for you to corral the mess too. There are so many ways you can do it. We like fun and festive here so I pulled out our Christmas themed mugs and used a cream and sugar set for mini marsh mellows and small spoons. I found cute peppermint candy at the .99 Cents Store which crushed make great toppers on whip cream too. We love Gingerbread guys and go with that whole theme in our kitchen so we’ll show more of that soon. I found this light up Candy Cane Land Sign recently and it was only $4.95 and I just love it. Thrift stores are great resources during the year to find great holiday items at a fraction of the cost. And don’t think you missed the boat either. Even during the middle of a holiday season people will give away things they don’t want anymore, or they have changed their décor and their trash is now your treasure. You don’t have to spend a lot on this. I find a lot of great Hot Cocoa, marsh mellows and whip cream at the .99 cents store and then just add to it. When I see it I buy 3-4 boxes and then we’re set for a while. Hot Cocoa is not just for kids, it’s for us big kids too….lol. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day, Lisa
