You can use cat litter for the obvious, of course, but why stop there when it can be so useful in so many different ways around the house? Look for the older non-clumping litter. That is the kind that works. If the container says 'clump'(ing) anywhere on the pkg. it's the new stuff. It is getting harder to find the old kind.

I use sand, as in sand box sand. It still comes in but dries quick and is easier to clean up.
