How can I upgrade my fire place's paint job?

I have a fireplace that is painted white and I would like for it to have more of a "white washed" look. Any ideas?

You will have to strip the existing paint. Use citristrip which is a safe non-toxic striper and follow the guidelines for white washing a fireplace.

"Dry Brush" with the color that you wanted to add, brown or black or tan.
