Small Bathroom Makeover on a Budget, Sorta

this house was built in 95 and we've been here for 5 years now and i've gotten so sick and tired of my small ugly bathroom. this is our bathroom upstairs that we use often. my entire house is covered in wood including walls, floors, ceilings with the exception of the two tiled bathroom floors. after extensive searches and DIY inspiration, I decided to tackle this before the holidays. just so you know i am an amateur DIYer and this has been my first real grown up project.
as you can see, a very messy and cluttered vanity
golden oak cabinets with matching tiled counters and floors
tub next to walk in shower with same black and white tiling
ugly dated tiles
my husband convinced me to spend the money and get quartz countertop, which I am so happy about. the quality really shows through. so beautiful and sleek. That's where majority of our money went. we still have to add new trim the that corner.
my attempt at "white-washing" my vanity and although you can see a lot of my mistakes/brush strokes, after it was all put together, it turned out not so bad. I especially love the drawer pulls i got from TARGET.
added an temporary adhesive wallpaper (it was so hard to put on, several attempts with the husband's help) and spray painted some old mirrors. I also painted over the black tiling.
added some floating shelves above the toilet for decor and storage which i love!! painted the black tiling as well.
couldn't re-do the floor so for now this is what I did: i used rustoleum's tub and tile paint to paint the black tiles and used grout paint to paint the grout lines.
new sink (from wayfair), new counter (through HD), new faucet (wayfair), new mirror (home goods), and new lighting (wayfair)! a big chunk of the cost went towards the countertop, but everything else added up too. What do you guys think? I'm in love with my bathroom and enjoy waking up in the mornings to this!!!

I am sooo happy for you! What an accomplishment ! You can be so proud! At first I thought you were going to paint the wood..or white wash it,but the changes you made make a big difference! We are getting ready to do a small bathroom also. It really needs updating it's very old from the early 80s. I was interested in a quartz countertop also so be sure to let us know how you like it and how it cleans up. Good for you! Nicely done! And how clever to paint the black diamonds on the floor. Little changes big effect!
