Want to give a room in your house an extra bit of interest, just add paint. I know we hear it time and again the notion that paint can completely transform a room. We just moved again to a home all with neutral wall color and i honestly can't wait to change all the wall colors in rooms. Over the past few weeks I have changed the Dining Room and Living Room from a neutral off white to BM Nelson Blue. See the pictures below of the small transformation.
The before: Not bad, but wanted to change the color just a bit. Nelson Blue is really beautiful in the evening with the soft glow of lamps. I also painted the tray as well.
Here is the after shot. I cant wait to add panels. I am thinking of sewing goblet panels with traditional trim. I will probably add a tutorial on that over the next few weeks.
Nelson blue goes well with bold pops of red, perfect for the Christmas season.
Here's a picture of the same color in the living room with the pretty red from the Christmas tree. I might need to add a red velvet pillow to one of the chairs once I take down the Christmas tree.
