This was inspired by the House of Hawthorn’s beautiful Zinc-like25. I love the look of those numbers but decided to use red instead of silverbecause it would coordinate with my home decor.
Materials:
Unfinished 18” NOEL from www.unfinishedwoodco.com $17.99
Paintbrushes
Black acrylic paint
Grayacrylic paint
LightRed Oxcide acrylic paint
LipstickRed acrylic paint
Sandpaper
I began by coating the entireNOEL with black paint. Then let it dry and sanded lightly.
Lightly dry brush with grayand Light Red Oxcide (FolkArt). Let dry.
Heavily dry brush withLipstick Red (FolkArt).
Spray with Acrylic Sealer.
The entire project took meabout 30 minutes. I am not sure I neededto dry brush with gray as it is not very visible in the finished project.
