Today I am back to share the reveal of my Christmas Tree/Foyer. As I stated in my last post, this design was inspired by a promise I made to my grand baby. To read/see the entire post click on the link. https://adesignerstale.blogspot.com/2016/12/the-revealhow-i-decorated-my-christmas.html
Does this look like a space that was decorated for less than $30? The only things I used to decorate this entire foyer for the most part, were Fairy Wings and tissue paper. I will share the total cost of the project at the end of the post so keep reading.
This tree was super simple to create. I simply placed the Fairy Wings strategically around the tree. Afterward, I filled in the spaces/gaps with tissue paper. I also used gift bags with yellow tissue paper to fill the space from the floor to the underside of the tree. Tissue paper was also used to fill the space between the boxes and the bags. Not to shabby huh?
Honestly, the pictures really don't do this tree any justice. I struggled trying to capture the beauty of this tree. I/we took like a gazillion pictures. Where is Better Homes and Gardens when you need them? Lol!
I used the same technique for the garland as I did on the tree. I took the tissue paper pinched it in the center and ran my hand up the entire sheet of paper. By doing this it gave the paper a crinkled appearance. Lastly, I taped the pinched ends of the tissue paper to the stair rail. I kept doing this until the tissue paper garland was complete. To see the rest of the transformation. https://adesignerstale.blogspot.com/2016/12/the-revealhow-i-decorated-my-christmas.html
