I have a question. Our 9 month old granddaughter lives in our home, with mommy and daddy. This is her first Christmas. I wonder what kind of advent calendar would be good for her?

You could do a number of the ones listed in the post and make the boxes or bags a bit bigger and put age appropriate little gifts in them, like a little stuffed animal or a soft book, a box of animal crackers, etc. I think that is what is so nice about the DIY type of advent calendars is that you can fit them to the needs of your family. My granddaughter won't be here at my house until the 20th, but I want to have one here for her so here we are going to have a shortened version of the book advent calendar with books from the 20th until the 24th. Her mother is going to make an advent calendar from the 1st until the 19th at their house.
