Making All Homemade Christmas Decorations.

by Michelle Lee
This year our rule was nothing could go on the tree unless we made it or it came from nature. Out tree turned out amazing.
I pressed some fall leaves.
I made lil pine cone garland.
And ornaments.
The babies colored and I cut them out.
We made paper chains.
My eight year old crocheted chains for the tree.
I crocheted decorations too and chains.
I made A LOT of yo yos with vintage buttons.
I used a lot of scrap book paper to make ornaments. My husband is an avid bike rider, hence that ornament.
I even made yo yo garland.
My favorite picture. My family is the best.
Do you like it?

    Hi Michelle,

As an art teacher for many years, I am touched by the sweetness and simplicity of your tree. I am sure the kids love this and of course the fact that they made it themselves with your help of course! I'm thinking that if you continue this now and then as the children get older, everyone will get great joy in looking back and also seeing how their artwork has changed over the years as they get older. I've seen many beautiful trees over the years, but this one reminds me of my dear friend Jane who always loved to make ornaments for the tree with her children. Have a wonderful, safe holiday and many, many more!
