The rest of the couch is in great shape - we just need to elevate the seat! Thank you icon

I have a recliner with two zig zag springs that broke. I removed the two broken springs. I got a square of 2" seat foam at Home Depot. Cut it to fit the seat. Stuffed it over the remaining springs, checking how it looked on the seat. I braced it with some thin wood boards across the good springs. Screwed the boards with brackets to the existing springs so they wouldn't shift. The seat is back up, a little stiffer, but looks and feels great.

if you dont replace the springs you can find the most stretched ones and add aluminum type coiled metal ( think like twist ties for gardening) and add to those stretched zig-zig springs by weaving them they get smaller and tighter with each pass of the weaving

I wish i could draw it.

If the springs are broken, use wire to repair the breaks. Wrap together as tightly as possible.
