I have 3 chi's. It is amazing how much hair those tiny bodies can shed and they aren't bald. I would suggest a lighter color slipcover that you pull off for company. Wear clothes the same color as your baby. If anyone complains don't invite them back. 🤗

Some people save and spin their dogs hair and knit into a garment. I defy anyone to spin eyelashes. However, collecting off your furniture and lint trap, you could use it to stuff toys 😊

A lovely glass of a nice wine helps. I didn't realize how much they shed and some are much worse than others until I got one of those vacuums with the clear tank. Amazing!!! I bought the covers that just cover the parts you touch when you're on the furniture. They wash and dry quickly and look pretty good. Buster, my helper, can pull them all into the floor if he wants a new look. If the chairing I'm sitting in causes a wrinkle under his delicate butt as he's up on the back, he can flip it down over my head. They are lightweight but not flimsy and surprise, water proof for at least a few minutes. Someone dumped a cup of coffee on one. We jumped and snatched it off the chair. It never went through. Cleaned up like new. Amazon.

Washing and vacuuming the dogs hasn't helped. My husband suggested Nair. Good luck. Happy new year. Give your baby lots of kisses.

Thank you Jody for you advice. If I may what type of vacuum do you have for the pet hair?

You might try bubble wrap. The sound and feel can annoy some animals. Worked for a friend of mine!

Hi Sharon. Am I suppose to put the wrap on my furniture? Or the floor?

We also had trouble with white cat hair getting all over our black uniforms! We threw a cute looking afghan throw over the end of the furniture where the cat likes to lay! When we have company or need to sit there, we can just fold it in half and sit on the clean portion and open it back up for the cat when we get up! If the cat goes to sit somewhere else on the furniture, we lift him and put him back on "his" afghan. We even bring his afghan to the hotel with us when we travel and he knows where his spot to be is! Hope that helps! Cindy

Thanks Cindy! My problem w/Chloe (my chi ) is that when she sheds It goes all over the wood floors and in the air and it gets all over my black sectional. We don't allow her to sit on the furniture at all but I most definitely wil give it a try. I appreciate your help

I have a shark lift away. My Dil has the dyson animal and my shark does does as well. I also have several of those brushes that are rubber with rubber fingers. Sometimes those little hairs are sticky. Those little rubber fingers are like magic. The dog that is the worst at shedding is terrified by motors And vacuums. I just take a damp wash cloth and rub her all over like it's a game. It collects an amazing amount. The really amazing thing is you can repeat this using up all your washcloths, they will continue to collect loose hair, your baby won't be bald. Not sure how much this helps.

I always wanted beautiful cherry furniture. Have finally decided that it attracts dust better than other woods. Dust is decorative and useful. You can write messages in it. ☺. I own lots of microfiber stuff. I wet one, wring it out as much as possible, "dust" with it. It will also pick up the hairs. My 3 guys give me so much love. Please don't angst over the hairs on your sofa- well, unless there is so much you can't tell the color anymore. A few hairs just shows you're a warm and loving soul.

Btw, mother was legally blind. She had help but it was s certain amount of time. They would come in and vacuum the pathways, basically do a lot of the stuff she could do. I got them to do the areas that she trouble with or couldn't see- think around the toilet, under the sink. I bought her a roomba. I was totally blown away by the pet hair and dander that thing picked up. After the good vacuum had been used. It gets hair the dyson animal leaves. Best wishes.

You're so welcome. I'd love to know what you decided to try. Just keep the baby ☺.

  • I agree with Jody. I also have a Shark Lift A Way and it works great! I have 2 light colored dogs, 1 black dog and 6 cats. I deal with fur everywhere, especially in winter. My house is tiny so in my living room, I purchased large throws for the furniture that are machine washable. I used to toss old flat sheets over the furniture, but I was tired of living in what looked like a storage unit! Keep the furbabies, give them giant smoochy kisses and let us know what works out for you.

Slip cover, plain and simple. Buy 2. When one needs washing put the other one on. Have the spare slip cover right next to you to be put on asap after you take dirty one off so animals don't hairy it up between changes.
