Cottage Inspired Christmas Mantle

This massive fireplace is one of my favourite things about my husband and I's new home. While the overall style of the house (Queen Anne, built 1906) lends itself to a more traditional decorating style, and I had every intention of going in that direction this Christmas season, I obviously couldn't pull myself away from the more rustic, cottage, farmhouse style I prefer (and could easily embrace in our last farmhouse). It didn't turn out quite the way I was envisioning in my head, but it'll do!
