I use rice paper (available at art supply stores) to provide privacy on the lower halves of my windows (just a teeny piece of tape in each corner is enough), and then just a valence (or not) above. Lets tons of light into my small home, but provides privacy from neighbors and dog walkers.

I have 6 foot windows in my 12 foot walls. I had 3 foot windows installed on the lower half of the windows in two bedrooms. Light is able to come in and the windows are at an elevation so that no one can see in.

well, I think that if you are looking for privacy, shades, or blinds under your curtain, drape of choice, but if you are looking for something that is not going to be covered by that, we used a reflective sheet that we put on the outside of the windows. The use of a box knife is needed to make sure that you get nice clean cuts for the windows, reflects the sun so it keeps your house cooler in the hot months. also you can't see in from the outside because it is reflective!

Can you see out? Can you tell me what product you used or where to purchase?

    Thanks
