My bedroom walls have the drywall mud on them like the stucco stuff. Is there an easy way to redo this?

@Vicki Gray, down here around Branson that has been very popular. Our home has it in most rooms, and it's hard like plaster. Our neighbor painted her walls, then did a glaze and it is really attractive. Other than putting up new drywall, special paint techniques may be your only answer. Good luck!

I think Sandy is right. I put a faux finish on my bar and I love it!

I will have to try that. Thanks so much for the info.

Yes you can redo it. But... it takes a lot of work. It dissolves with water and scrapes off which is also what they do to popcorn ceilings to scrap it off. But if you really don't like that look, the best and most economical way would be to mud over it with more drywall mud.

I have that in my kitchen & worked with it, instead of against it and it turned out great. I used a warm beige over all, and then dry-brushed a slightly dark beige over the bumps in some areas and in the corners.
