What is the countertop made of?
try coke-a-cola. pour some on stain, let sit for a while.
DO NOT use Coca Cola on granite or marble. The acid in the soda will etch the stone.
There is a product in wal-mart and Winn Dixie, I believe a brownish bottle. I buy it and use in my sink bath tub and spots on clothing. It really does remove the rust. Put on cabinet and leave for about 10 min's, and wipe it off, you might have to do again. I wish I could remember the name for you. It could be Rust Off I think there is about 8 once's in it. It really works for me. Call your store and ask if they carry a Rust Remover, it will be in cleaners, usually on the bottom rack. I hope you find it
and Good Luck, I know it will work for you. :)
Is it called Whink
Make a poultice by mixing hydrogen peroxide and baking soda like yogurt. Put the poultice over the rust stain and cove it with plastic wrap. Let it sit until the poultice dries. Wipe off the poultice. Repeat if necessary.
A paste of lemon juice also will usually work on rust stains.
