How do you clean the outside of a stove?

What can I use to clean my stove I am selling on the outside of it.  I tried Windex and it only worked on the smooth stovetop.  The knobs are dirty and the sides of my stove.

Easy off oven cleaner. Hubby cleans our gas stove once a month with it.

Take the knobs off and soak them in a grease cutting liquid soap. For the sides of the stove try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.

Remove the knobs and scrub them with a non abrasive pad. And as Janet suggested, Mr Clean Magic Eraser should work on the sides of the stove.

Yep, take the knobs off and soak, if they are still needing a heavier cleaning you can spray goo gone and wipe the greasy build up off.

I use Fantastik the original cleaner for all of my greasy cleans, side of stove, back and laminate cupboard doors. Wipes right off.

Baking soda and vinegar. Make a paste off baking soda and washing liquid, put it on area need to clean, then spray on vinegar. The washing liquid will breakdown the grease, the soda and vinegar will lift and clean. Wipe with clean dampcloth.
