How to Make a Tree Skirt Out of a Galvanized Tub *Video Tutorial*

When I saw the Galvanized Collar that Crate & Barrel has on their website, I was instantly inspired to create my own! I love the vintage look and the rustic feel! So I grabbed a galvanized tub I had on hand and tinkered around until I figured out how to do it!! I have a VIDEO TUTORIAL documenting the process... you have to see the end... the outakes!! Tutorial
A traditional tree skirt protects the hardwood floors.
Drill holes in the bottom of your bucket or tub.
Cut through the holes to remove the bottom.
Add thick rope to protect you from the sharp edges.
Our traditional tree skirt fits right inside! So we are able to water the tree!
I love the rustic charm it adds to our Chrisrtmas Tree!

Doesn’t a tree skirt lay on the floor around the base of the tree stand??
