YES, especially if you are on a tight budget and can't afford porcelain tile. Seamless vinyl is practically spill-proof, unlike hard woods and laminate, and if you are handy, you can self-install vinyl click or peel 'n' stick flooring yourself!

  • Yes, I agree with Diane. Great if you have kids and / or pets. Plus it is back in style again and there is much more to choose from. Good luck and have fun!

Yes and easy to put down, but does not add any value to a home for resale. Tile does add value, looks great and is durable for a bathroom.

Vinyl is fine but like someone else said, no value is added. Look for some nice designs or colors and make sure there is some texture to help prevent slipping one wet floors.

  • Your question was viny for bathroom floor? Yes as long as you keep water from getting underneath into the wood. As everyone has wrote will not add value when saling And slipping will be an issue after you have installed the vinyl used caulking to fill all the cracks around floor and used a towel or rug to prevent slips From tubs or shower. also make sure to pay attention to wall color earthier compliments the floor or not. Vinyl tiles are easy to self install, but the seams could allow water to seep through and damage the sub floor. Continuous Vinyl sheet would both water protect the sub floor structure. But, it's not usually a DIY install, especially if the room has nooks and crannies.

I would add if you choose sheet, put down a good calking all around edge and/or a cove molding to help hold down the outer edges where if water does penetrate it will want to curl up.

Vinyl planks are great for the floors. Mannington's AduraMax line is waterproof, and as long as you caulk around the tub/cabinets/toilet so water can't get under it, you should have no problems! There are several waterproof options out there. Look for WPC products, or waterproof core.

Vinyl is what I am going to put down as long as pretty neutral it will be fine for resale. There is no guarantee that if you spend money on tile it will be liked by future buyer. It is easy to keep clean and who steps out wet from tub or shower not unto a floor mat? But I would remove toilet vanity as well so that you can use the sheet flooring and these items sit on top of the flooring to avoid any water spills. Yes make sure you use a proper glue to hold down even if just by tub and edges then once floor is down still chalk properly. Return toilet to original spot you should replace wax ring clean wax off of toilet and ring on floor then replace toilet carefully and sit on it to squeeze any extra out. Connect and see if any water comes out from bottomy because you will have to do it again. Same as when you replace vanity make sure that connections are just tight enough not otherdone. Check for leaks once you turn water back on. Mostly plumbers like to buy new on to replace old connections to water I'm speaking of hoses. Once that's done let floor dry completely before you use shower or tub. Sounds like lots of work but would have to do same for tile otherwise you would be trapping vanity and toilet. Good luck and wish me the same. My husband doesn't want to this so I am going to hire a helping friend. Oh remove all baseboard so it's all the way to wall, then replace and paint at least where you renail it and use spackle.
