    Yes it will damage granite. I use non ammonia products. I use Method all purpose cleaner but, the same brand has a Daily Granite cleaner. Liz

    if it has vinegars or ammonia type chemicals, it will strip the seal on the granite. The granite needs to be sealed every year and this will shorten the life of the seal And may cause stains to seep into the granite.

    It is not recommended to use Windex on granite countertops. Most commercially available cleansers are either acidic or alkaline, and Windex is alkaline. These products can either strip the sealer on the granite or etch the stone surface.

    You can't use winder in granite as mentioned in other comments.This is one reason I didn't want granite counter tops. To me they may look nice but too much upkeep for me. Give me Corian any day.

    i have granite, and used to have granite cleaner, and just have not gotten any for about a year!😬 I recently read a comment about this and thought I better check. Thanks everyone!!
