Sun Grech CPF Pond Bio Pressure Filter running during Winter?

I needed a new filter for my pond and purchased the Sun
Grech CPF Pond Bio Pressure Filter (CPF 2500). My old filter was running all year, even during ice and snow and was just fine. I am unsure about letting this new one run during winter and wonder if anyone is using it in a cold climate all year.

I would think your pond is large, yes? Anytime water is moving it will not freeze. Depends on your temperature too.Your pump and filter should be ok to run Winter or anytime. I have a small fountain with a large goldfish that ran all the time. It did not freeze and the fish lived a very long time. I hope that helps.

    Thank you for your response.

I returned the filter, because people told me the UV light exploded. Instead I purchased a waterfall filter, which is alllot simpler. I will let it run through the winter and hope it will be ok.
